Today I read about a new:

The Nobel Committee for Physics said that three scientists won the award (The Nobel in Physics 2011 ) for their discovery of the acceleration of cosmic expansion by following the stars ordnance "supernova." The three scientists proved that the universe is expanding steadily.

The Nobel Committee said "The  three scientists' discoveries shook the pillars of cosmology - Cosmology." The scientists used a certain kind of very distant exploding stars to measure the universe.
